Planet 9 Apply

Your own accounts, from the start.

As a team of fourteen, nobody spends their first year building decks for someone else's clients. You'll take on your own accounts early, with an experienced colleague beside you while you settle in. We have one role open now.

What working here is like

We don't have a table-tennis table and we won't describe ourselves as a family. What we do offer is work you'll be proud to put your name to, a short line of management and a studio that winds down at half past five.

  • Fully remote working, plus a desk at our Birmingham studio whenever you'd like one
  • 26 days' holiday and bank holidays, with the week between Christmas and New Year given as extra leave
  • A £1,200 annual training budget, and time set aside to spend it
  • Four-day weeks throughout August on full pay, a policy since 2023
  • Employer pension contributions of 6%
  • Any certification we ask you to hold is paid for and studied during working hours
  • An annual profit share each March, paid out for the last five years in a row

Our process takes around two weeks

  1. An initial 20-minute call

With Danni or the team lead, covering what you've worked on and where you'd like to go next.

  2. A paid two-hour task

Work on an anonymised account at a time that suits you. We pay £150 for it, whatever the outcome.

  3. A studio visit, then an offer

Meet the team and see where you'd sit. Everyone who reaches the second stage receives feedback from their interviewer.

Current vacancy

Our other three roles have now been filled. This one closes on Thursday 15 October 2026. We review applications as they come in and may hold interviews early for the right candidate.

Account Manager (Social Media)

£34,000 to £38,000 a year

Fully remote, United Kingdom. Full time. At least two years' experience. Closes Thursday 15 October 2026.

In this role you'll look after social media for five or six clients from start to finish, covering strategy, the monthly content plan, shoot briefs, reporting and the client relationship itself. You'll be their main contact, and you'll decide what gets published.

You'll collaborate with Jess on creative and editing, and with the paid team whenever organic content is given a budget. There's no one standing between you and the client.

What you'll need: at least two years running social accounts at an agency or in-house, a portfolio you can walk us through, confidence presenting and defending a plan, and the organisation to manage six content calendars at once. Paid social experience is a bonus but isn't required.

“I joined as a junior in 2021 with university projects and a single real client in my portfolio. Within eighteen months I was presenting a rebrand to a board. Nobody here keeps the good work to themselves.”
Jess LathamSocial Lead, Planet 9
