Account Manager (Social Media)

The role

You'll take full ownership of social media for five or six Planet 9 clients, from strategy and monthly content planning to shoot briefs, reporting and the client relationship itself. You'll be the person they talk to, and the person who decides what's published.

You'll work closely with Jess on creative and editing, and with our paid team whenever organic content is boosted with budget. You'll deal with clients directly, with nobody in between.

Responsibilities

• Building social strategies and monthly content plans for five or six clients
• Writing shoot briefs and captions, managing communities and handling escalations
• Producing monthly reports that start with what each channel earned
• Owning client relationships, including presenting and defending the work
• Working with the paid team when organic content is given budget

Requirements

• At least two years managing social accounts, in an agency or in-house
• A portfolio you can walk us through, with results to back it up
• Confidence on client calls, including the tougher ones
• Strong organisation, with the ability to keep six content calendars on track
• The right to work in the UK
• Paid social experience is a plus but not essential

Salary and benefits

• A salary of £34,000 to £38,000 a year, based on experience
• 26 days' holiday and bank holidays, with the week between Christmas and New Year given as extra leave
• A £1,200 annual training budget, and time set aside to spend it
• Four-day weeks throughout August on full pay
• Employer pension contributions of 6%
• Any certification we ask you to hold is paid for and studied during working hours
• An annual profit share each March

Location

This is a fully remote position. You can be based anywhere in the UK, with no requirement to come into an office. The full team gets together in person every quarter, with travel costs covered, and you're welcome to use a desk at our Birmingham studio at 21 Bennetts Hill whenever you like.
